TPI GOLF ASSESSMENT
A Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Assessment is a 60–90 minute physical screening designed specifically for golfers. During the session, we evaluate your movement quality, mobility, stability, and strength to identify any physical limitations that may be affecting your swing.
Golf performance is not only about technique, it’s about how your body moves. The TPI assessment focuses on the Body–Swing Connection, showing how your physical capacity directly influences swing efficiency, consistency, and power. By addressing these limitations, we can help reduce injury risk and improve performance, so you can move better, swing better, and play pain-free.
What is tested during a TPI Golf Assessment?
During the assessment, we screen the key physical components that directly influence your golf swing:
-
Mobility (hips, thoracic spine, shoulders, ankles)
-
Stability and balance
-
Core control and rotational strength
-
Coordination and movement sequencing
-
Single-leg strength and control
-
Swing-related movement patterns
These tests help identify physical restrictions, asymmetries, or compensations that may be limiting your performance or increasing your risk of injury.
The 3 pillars of the TPI approach:

Mobility
Efficient rotation and range of motion are essential for a smooth, powerful swing. Limited mobility in areas like the hips, spine, or shoulders often leads to swing compensations and overload injuries.

Stability & control
Stability provides the foundation for speed and power. Strong core control, balance, and joint stability allow you to transfer force effectively and maintain consistency throughout your swing.

Strength & power
Strength enables you to generate force, while power helps you produce club head speed. Improving golf-specific strength enhances performance, endurance, and resilience on the course.
