Discover the Power of Movement!

Hello and welcome to my website!

I'm Flora Muijzer, a dedicated Dutch physiotherapist with over 12 years of experience helping individuals achieve optimal health and flexibility. My motto, “prevention is better than cure,” reflects my holistic approach to physiotherapy, where I combine Western, science-based treatment methods with a focus on overall well-being.

Move better, feel better.
Move better, feel better.

My Journey into Physiotherapy

My career began after graduating in 2012, and since then, I’ve gained valuable experience in both the Netherlands and China. From 2019 to 2022, I worked at the clinic in Shanghai, the most exclusive private clinic in China. There, I had the opportunity to work with remarkable athletes, including Chinese Olympic windsurfer and Olympic silver medalist (Rio 2016) Peina Chen, drivers from the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, and players from the Women’s Football League. I also treated countless expats in search of professional, high-quality care.

My passion for movement and health is deeply rooted in my life. As a child, I moved every four years due to my father’s work—he’s a professor of microbial systems ecology at the University of Amsterdam. These experiences sparked my curiosity for the world and different cultures.

Specializations and Education

In the early years of my career, I worked in Amsterdam and was connected to prestigious institutions such as the Dutch National Ballet Academy and Nederlands Dans Theater. I myself trained at the National Ballet Academy for seven years until an injury ended my dream of becoming a professional dancer. Choosing to study physiotherapy gave me the chance to help fellow dancers recover from their injuries. I graduated at just 20 years old, and although I was eager to explore the world, I knew it was essential to gain experience first. I gave myself three years to build a strong foundation and then embarked on a nine-month solo journey around the world at age 23.

During my travels through South America, South Africa, Australia, and Indonesia, I discovered my love for surfing. I even decided to stay in Australia for a year to become a surf instructor—and I loved every minute of it.

After returning to the Netherlands, I settled in Scheveningen, where I worked as an independent physiotherapist. I continued my education in Belgium to become a certified McKenzie MDT therapist—a specialization that significantly enhanced my diagnostic skills and clinical reasoning. My interest in spinal-related conditions, such as back and neck pain, quickly grew.

In the years that followed, I expanded my expertise further with manual therapy, including Mulligan Manual Therapy, and completed several courses and masterclasses. Most recently, I earned my certification as an EXOS Performance Specialist—an elite qualification in strength training. I also studied exercise physiology, where I learned in depth about the body’s energy systems and how training can influence them.

My Mission

With all this knowledge and experience, I specialize in sports and spinal-related conditions. I believe movement is the foundation for a healthy and flexible body, and I am committed to helping my clients achieve their goals—whether that’s recovery, prevention, or performance optimisation.

I invite you to join me on this journey toward optimal health and well-being. Let’s work together to reach your goals!
